Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, energized individual looking for a good challenge in the insurance/health industry. If you are looking to learn and grow in a unique setting and learn about global health networks and global assistance, the Assistance Coordinator role is for you.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

This role is an office role that involves rotational shifts. The Main responsibilities are:

  • Ensure emails are answered in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer clients’ phone calls according to guidelines and attend mailboxes and keep queries received up to date.
  • Answer calls based on our quality standards.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with sense of urgency
  • Send VOB/GOP to the facility, confirm receipt, and all are coordinated, insured go to go.
  • Facility not in network, contact facility to try to coordinate direct billing, if issues arise, involve provider relations.
  • Connecting with the medical facilities to secure billing is accepted.
  • Follow up on urgent requests.
  • Follow up on documentation (medical records, bills, etc.)
  • Follow up on requests regarding the information needed from a facility.
  • Create a good rapport with providers in the network and outside the network (grow our network base.
  • Team will take additional administrative tasks for Travel Assistance (Assist +Case Management). MR, MRF, etc.Work closely with Case Management and Account Management
  • Maintain and update provider and contact database.
  • Mantain professional and technical knowledge.

Requisitos

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bilingual, proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese is an additional (plus)
  • Experience in the health insurance industry.
  • Experience handling customer service calls.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, assertive and well-articulated.
  • Capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office programs.
